A Midcentury Coffee table by John Herbert for Younger

Long afrormosia coffee table by John Herbert for A.Younger Ltd.
This long and elegant coffee table was designed by John Herbert and made by Younger in the late 1950s. It is constructed mainly from solid afrormosia wood (African Teak) . The top has upturned ends.
With its simple modern lines and ‘floating’ top it closely resembles a coffee table design which Arne Hovmand Olsen created for Mogens Kold at around the same time.

Restoration to one corner, Photographed, in vintage condition with mild stain on the end which is also visible in photographs.
would look fantastic behind a sofa as a sofa table or could be used as a coffee table, perfect height for both.
