The Pirkka range is a design classic and iconic in mid-century furniture history. Designed by architect and designer Ilmari Tapiovaara in 1955 for manufacturer Laukaan Puu in Finland. The range takes it’s styling cues from Finnish rustic furniture and is both characterful and stylish whilst being completely practical in everyday use. The pieces are original and in good clean vintage condition, made from pine with ebonised legs and with the characteristic split centre on the table and chairs with a dowel details running across it. Each item bears the branded name burnt into the underside.
