A 1950’s Mid-century teak sideboard by Gordon Russell of Broadway
A classic sideboard from the 1950s by leading British makers Russell of Broadway. The sideboard is in teak with attractive Indian laurel veneers to the cupboard and drawer fronts, and the unit sits on a classic mid-century shaped under frame so it ‘floats’. There are three equal size drawers with solid wood and brass pull handles, and on either side are cupboards, one with a shelf the other with a shaped shelf to allow tall bottles/vases etc. The top drawer has green velvet cutlery inserts which unusually appear to be ‘as new’. The cabinet has been cleaned and restored, and is in very good condition.
