A 1950’s ‘Carousel’ sideboard by Gimson and Slater in beautiful flame-wood

A superb example of British Mid 20th century style and craftsmanship, this sideboard ‘Carousel’ by Gimson and Slater  features lovely ‘flame’ or ‘fiddleback’ hardwood matched veneers. It sits on an outer teak framework with tapered legs and has a a subtle ‘v’ shaped tapered front. The handles are solid brass ball shapes. It has four drawers, the top one with cutlery dividers and a height adjustable shelf in the cupboard. In excellent condition having been refurbished and sprayed to a satin lustre finish.
